Over 30 years of dedication & excellence

Since opening our doors in 1992, Centennial Construction & Contracting (Niagara) has become one of Niagara Region’s most reliable and reputable construction companies. Starting from humble beginnings in the basement of our home, Centennial has grown and succeeded in the business, with our roots still firmly planted into the ground. We remember where we came from, and we show it by giving back to our community through sponsorship, donations, and volunteer opportunities.

Our steady growth has allowed us to branch out within the industry to provide our clientele with the “complete package”. We offer specialized services in a diverse range of construction disciplines, such as sewer and watermain construction, land development, foundations and have catapulted into the home building world with our award winning home building division, Centennial Homes.

We take a very human approach to all jobs

– the key to success is our relationships we build with our clients paired with our unrivalled work ethic and our obsession to  detail. From our labourers, skilled trades, operators, foreman and office staff, Centennial offers our client one of the most experienced and knowledgeable workforces within the  Golden Horseshoe.

What sets Centennial apart from the rest?

We believe our competitive advantage comes down to a simple equation; hire the best workers and give them the best tools. Of course, the nuances that keep us ahead of our competitors are many and varied – one of the best parts at Centennial is the  wide variety of services offered. These wide range of services give us the ability to take  on all aspect of a given project and pass on the resulting efficiencies to our clients in  the form of lower prices and quality work. As a family run business, we think of our staff  and clients as family, which attracts the best kind of people.

Lastly, at Centennial we believe the manner in which we have managed our growth,  has set us apart from the rest. We are big enough to tackle the big projects, yet small  enough to allow for that interpersonal and knowledgeable experience every client  deserves.

Community Involvement

Centennial Construction strongly believes that giving back to the community is a  responsibility of the corporate world. We are proud to sponsor sports teams, local  events, and community projects. We help to extend our appreciation to the people of  the Niagara Region by giving back to the community in ways that truly matter. In  recent years Centennial has been apart of several charitable projects and non-profit organizations across the region.

Habitat for Humanity Townhomes

April 2024

With the support of their strong network of suppliers and sub-trades, Centennial Homes has committed to build four townhomes in Thorold this year, and site preparation is already underway.

During a ground-breaking ceremony, Mark Carl, CEO of Habitat for Humanity Niagara said they never dreamed that a generous gift of this size would be given to the non-profit.

Centennial Homes was awarded Company of the Year in 2023 by the Niagara Home Builders’ Association, and Founder and President Domenic DiLalla, connected with Mark to discuss the opportunity to give back to the community by embarking on this endeavour.

2023 Fireman’s Park Additions

June 2023

Best known for their 135-acre natural park located in the  North end of Niagara Falls, we wanted to give back to our hometown by creating a  new concrete pad for tug of war for our local firefighters. We have also added  additional seating to the amphitheatre to allow for bigger audiences for local events and concerts.

South Niagara Hospital

South Niagara Hospital

July 2022

For us, giving back to our community is a must, so when we were presented with the opportunity to make a pledge to Niagara’s new south end hospital, our President Domenic DiLalla was elated to do so. This donation was inspired by our family history of heart disease and Domenic’s personal experience, as he recently underwent a quadruple bypass surgery. We are humbled to know that Domenic’s donation will ensure that in the future, Niagara residents are able to receive high quality cardio-respiratory diagnosis and care, and no longer have to travel to Hamilton or Toronto.

In recognition of the gift, the cardio-respiratory unit at the new hospital that is expected to be completed by 2026 will named the DiLalla Family Cardio-Respiratory Diagnostics Unit.

Living Wage Employer

Living Wage Employer

November 2019

As a family run business we know the true value of hard work and dedication, we also know that we as a company, would be nowhere without the dedication and skills of each and every single one of our employees. Throughout the years, we have continued to notice that the cost of living is constantly on the rise, knowing that minimum wage is just not enough to get by. We never want our employees to struggle and that is why, even as we continue to grow, all our employees know we are there for them in every way. We are excited to partner with Ontario Living Wage Network and other local businesses as we work together to improve living conditions and end poverty across the Niagara Region. We hope that many local companies follow our lead, as we truly believe that every hardworking individual deserves to live comfortably.

A.N Myer Secondary School holds a special place in our hearts, as it the school both co-owners attended during their high school years, many moons ago. A dream of ours have always been to give back to those who saw so much potential in us at such a young age. A way we did so was with the recent 2018 donation of A.N Myer’s state of the art basketball/tennis courts. Now students and children from Niagara Falls are able to enjoy four prestigious and hygienic basketball and tennis courts during any season, at any time of the day.

Gale Centre

Gale Centre

2010

The growing need for a new ice facility in the city of Niagara Falls is finally being resolved. The Gale Centre is the new arena which is currently under construction in our city. The complex contains 4 ice pads, which will now help meet the demands of ice time around this region. Centennial Construction has always been involved in hockey within our region and this is no exception. We are pleased to announce that one of the ice rinks will be named after our company. This honour comes after the contributions that Centennial has made to the process of building this new state of the art facility. This is just another example of our constant community involvement.
